A: We are a pre-engineered manufacturer of Metal Buildings. We offer Metal Carports, Metal Garages, Metal Barns, Metal RV cover, Metal Loafing Sheds, Metal Storage Units. We can manufacture any building to meet your determined need and to the look and style that you prefer.
Direct Southern Metal takes safety very seriously and follows all necessary safety protocols during installation. All team members are trained and certified to ensure a safe work environment.
A: The Order Process begins through one of our Authorized dealers. If you are looking for a building and don’t know of any near you give us a call and we can help you locate one.
Once the order is taken by one of our dealers it is sent to us to check the order for any corrections needed. If we determine that the order needs corrections the customer will be notified, either by the dealer or by us. Sometimes these corrections may require a new order form and signed approval by the customer due to changes in building or price. IF the order is approved it then goes to our Scheduling Cue, in this stage you will receive a call from one of our in house reps to go over your order and installation time. (installation is weather permitted).
Materials are gathered at our shop and sent out for installation by one of our contractors.
A: Our current lead time for installation is currently 2 weeks at most for most of our coverage area. Please keep in mind that installation is weather permitted, as long as the weather and installation site is prepared and ready to go.
A: We recommend for your site to be anywhere within a level tolerance of 1-3″. We recommend you to prep your site before installation if your site does not meet this requirement. Doing so will save you money by avoiding any delays or restocking fees.
All Concrete Pads are Recommended to pour 2” wider on all sides. Units 12’×20′ need to have 12’4”x20’4” Concrete Pad. The recommended depth of your concrete pad and other general ideal concrete guidance will vary depending on your area. Be sure to check with your local permitting office to ensure you are within their guidelines for your concrete pad and structure.
Depending on what you plan to use the building for and the size of your building, you may need to obtain a building permit from your local permitting office. At DMB we will make sure to build your building to meet your local building codes, be sure to specify on your order any code requirements to ensure that the pricing is correct and that we meet your building requirements.
